Wantage lies just below the Ridgeway in the Vale of the White Horse, and was the birthplace of Alfred the Great. Wantage Camera Club was founded in 1967, and has grown to become one of the largest camera clubs in Oxfordshire and the Chilterns region. We were (probably!) the first camera club in the UK to have a website, which has been on-line since 1997.

We meet every Tuesday at 7:30pm in the Methodist Hall in Newbury St, and new members are always welcome. We run a varied programme of lectures, competitions and instructional evenings, including demonstrations of new digital technology. Details of the current programme and other activities can be found by clicking the buttons on the left.

The Club also has flourishing Digital and Audio Visual Groups to cater for these popular branches of photography.

We cater for all standards of photography, and beginners are particularly welcome. If you've got a digital camera and would like to make better use of it, please come along to one of our meetings!
