A timelapse of one of our recent Practical Evenings, with Laura Parker's camera set up to capture one frame every ten seconds.

Wantage lies just below the Ridgeway in the Vale of the White Horse, and was the birthplace of  lt Alfred the Great. Wantage Camera Club was founded in 1967, and has grown to become one of the largest camera clubs in Oxfordshire and the Chilterns region. We were (probably!) the first camera club in the UK to have a website, which has been on-line since 1997.

We meet every Tuesday in the Methodist Hall in Newbury St, and new members are always welcome.
Doors are open from 7:00pm, so there is an opportunity to socialise and chat before the meetings start at 7:30pm. The meetings usually close between 9:30 and 10:00pm. We run a varied programme of lectures, competitions and instructional evenings, including demonstrations of new digital technology and techniques. Details of the current programme and other activities can be found by clicking the buttons on the left.

The Club also has a flourishing Audio Visual Group, which regularly runs tutorial sessions on popular software packages such as Photoshop and Pictures to Exe.
